The Discovery and Establishment of Enterdos

On the 15th of Tamemyt 93 CE a fleet of 24 ships left the Kneian harbour of Ivelghan near Lest, the Kneian capital. The fleet was commanded by Admiral Enerio Enterdosi and its quest was to explore the Aenarn Ocean for a group of islands rumoured to be somewhere east of the Island of Alenia and to settle on those islands. Five of the great Kneian families sailed in the fleet, the Enterdosi, Donerz, Lesh, Namivia and Careera families.

The fleet reached Alenia four months later and after staying there for resupply and repairs for a further two months it sailed eastward again into uncharted waters. On the 19th of Zetemyt the fleet encountered a violent storm which damaged a quarter of its ships of which two were sunk. All the crews, however, were rescued save for two sailors who drowned.

The fleet continued on its eastward course and on the 29th of Setremyt 94 CE sighted land, which was named Ederosie after the man who first spotted it on the horizon, Ederosie ev Donerze. The ships continued down the south coast of Ederosie, being unable to land because of the cliff coast, until the wind forced them to change course in a south-westerly direction. After two weeks sailing south-west the wind changed again to the east and after another three weeks sailing the slightly disheartened fleet sighted land again on the 4th of Tamemyt and landed near present day Epan.

A settlement was established and named Epan after a friendly tribe, the Epani.
